This past weekend I returned once more to Shanghai to visit a friend. Luckily this time around I managed to do the things that I tried to do the last time I was in town (the debacle that was New Year’s Eve at the Bund). Though the air may not have been good (actually it was quite terrible. The AQI said that in Hangzhou the pollution was up to 279 and in Shanghai it was past 320!), it was still sunny and rather warm. In addition to going to the Shanghai Museum and eating a tasty dinner of pork & shrimp dumplings and curry beef soup at “Yang’s Dumplings,” we also went to Yu Garden in an area close to the Bund that is considered to be “Old Shanghai.” Enjoy.
