Chinese New Year Dumplings!

While pretty much everyone loves dumplings, it can be extra fun if you are a kid to eat them in your classroom. Better yet, it’s even better when you get to see them being made and make some yourself. Our class did just that earlier this week. Even though I have made dumplings before, I decided not to partake and just watched the experts do it.

First, the anticipation…

Then, the wrap process…

Now, it’s everyone’s turn to get stuffing…

And finally, it’s time to eat! (吃!)

This was a good way to start the final week of school for this term. Hopefully, everyone will have a good holiday (me included). Happy New Year! Xīnnián kuàilè! 新年快乐!

  1. Hi Greg,
I sent you a Christmas ecard but it bounced back ? Happy New Year ! I hope you are well and happy.
I love the photos you send. What was the filling in the dumplings ?
They looked good. The kids look younger than your other classes. Do you teach them in English or Chinese ?
What age group do you teach ?

We were told this winter would be mild but it is anything but.
Lots of snow, frigid temps and strong winds. I hibernate and do this & that and am warm & cozy.
Can’t wait for spring & flowers.

Take care Greg, stay well and keep the pictures coming.
    Peace & Love, K. 💜🙏☮️☃️❄️🐻
